Share files with a 4-digit PIN instead of a link
Say your username and 4-digit PIN instead of sending a link.
How it works
1. Upload the file at pinfast.io or in the Pinfast app. When you upload, choose when the file expires: in 3 hours or in 24 hours.
2. Tell the receiver your username and your 4-digit PIN. They are short enough to say on the phone or face to face. You do not need to copy a link or send a message.
3. The receiver opens pinfast.io/your-username in a web browser, enters the PIN and downloads the file. After the time you chose, the file expires and is cleaned up automatically.
Anyone who knows your username and PIN can open all of your active files, not only the one you shared. Delete files you no longer need, and change your PIN when you need to.

Frequently asked questions
Is a 4-digit PIN safe enough?
After 3 wrong PINs, sign-in is locked for 30 minutes. Files also expire after 3 or 24 hours. Share your PIN only with the receiver, and change it when you need to.
Why share a PIN instead of a link?
A link is long and hard to read out loud or type on another device. A username and a 4-digit PIN are easy to say and type. Your address pinfast.io/your-username stays the same for every file.
Can I choose when the file expires?
Yes. Choose 3 hours or 24 hours when you upload. After that, the file expires and is cleaned up automatically. You can also delete it yourself before then.
